Otoha Mao, a normal first-year high school student, has a sudden encounter with Hinata Meisa, and thereafter falls into the position of taking over as the top idol Hana in Aikatsu Planet. But at the same time, she needs to keep the fact that she's now Hana a secret! Aikatsu Planet is the story of Mao and her friends doing their idol activities and aiming to become top idols.
